CIMA News

It’s the OCS August case study exam week so good luck to the students sitting the exam in the coming days!

Meanwhile, I saw an interesting press release on the CIMA website that stated that salaries for management accountants are increasing at twice the national average.

The results reveal that average earnings among qualified members reached £64,011 in 2016 (an increase of 1.9%), £36,411 more than the current average UK wage.

According to the research, even those in the process of gaining their qualifications report earning 22% higher than the national average wage, receiving an annual salary of £33,638.

You can read the full press release in detail by visiting the link above.

The CIMA Student Website

This week I will be posting up a short interview with CIMA student who will be taking her first exam in November this year.

While I will also be looking at more detail on the subject of Project Management – I posted an article on this last week but now I will be looking at the process of project management and a few CIMA exam questions on the subject.

I’ve added a sign up pop-up to the website for The CIMA student newsletter – it’s a new monthly newsletter that will be sent out for the first time in the coming weeks.

Any feedback or comments would be gratefully received.
